Why Morbi
Morbi is not simply where we happen to be. The district contains the densest concentration of ceramic manufacturing anywhere outside China: body clay, frit and glaze suppliers, kiln and press engineering, packaging, and the freight infrastructure to move it all, within a few kilometres of each other. That concentration is the reason Indian tile competes globally on price without competing down on quality.
For a buyer it has a practical consequence. Because the whole supply chain is local, a specification change — a different size, a custom colour, a private-label carton — does not mean sourcing from three countries. It means a conversation with suppliers down the road, and a lead time measured in weeks rather than months.
It also means you can come and see it. Buyers placing project volumes routinely visit Morbi to watch production and select shades in person, and we would rather they did.
